COME FROM AWAY Projection Design Package
Celebrate the remarkable compassion at the heart of Come From Away with a projection package designed to support the story’s movement, atmosphere, and emotional journey. The imagery focuses on the extraordinary good found in humanity during one of history’s darkest days—honoring the kindness, courage, and community shared by the people of Gander and the passengers welcomed into their lives.
Rather than depicting the tragedy through literal or documentary imagery, this package uses an abstract visual language to evoke the story’s central themes and emotions. Atmospheric textures, shifting skies, impressionistic landscapes, travel-inspired elements, and expressive transitions help carry the production between moments of uncertainty, connection, humor, grief, and hope.

The package is designed to enhance the theatrical storytelling while leaving space for the performers and audience to experience the humanity of the piece. It provides a flexible visual foundation that can be adapted to a variety of staging configurations and production scales.
Technical Support
Your purchase includes 30 minutes of phone or Zoom support to assist with projector or LED wall connection, projection-surface setup, and QLab configuration.
Additional programming, system consultation, content adjustments, or production-specific customization may be available for an additional fee. Please contact DSS Projections for availability and pricing.
Equipment and Software Requirements
QLab runs exclusively on Mac computers. Your production is responsible for supplying a compatible Mac, projector or LED display, video adapters, cabling, and any additional equipment required for your venue. Projection equipment and QLab software licenses are not included.
Licensing and Performance Rights
Purchase of this projection package does not include theatrical performance rights, scripts, music, accompaniment tracks, or any other materials supplied by the show’s authorized licensing provider. Your organization is responsible for obtaining all required performance rights and production materials.
The projection content is licensed for use by the purchasing organization in its designated production. Files may not be shared, transferred, resold, reproduced, or distributed to another organization or production.
DSS Projections is an independent projection-design provider and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the show’s authors, publishers, or theatrical licensing companies.
Delivery Information
This projection package is currently being completed and will be delivered within 2–3 weeks from the date of purchase. Delivery is not immediate.
Your production will receive the projection media, programmed QLab workspace, cue list, and technical support.
